GRTV has a long history of providing exceptional summer camps and extended classes. This summer will be no exception with the arrival of our Media Makers Camp. This summer GRTV is partnering with The Midwest Tech Project to bring professional level instruction to 18 local high school students. The camp will meet bi weekly every Tuesday & Thursday from 2-5pm from July 11th - August 17th. And the best part? Its absolutely FREE to students.
The Media Maker Camp is staffed by experienced professionals in their field. Lead by the GRTV Education Coordinator students will have direct instruction from a media professional for each element of the camp in a small group setting (5-6 students for every instructor).
Along with that, the Midwest Tech Project will be providing extra support and instruction meaning each student will have all the support needed to walk away feeling confident in their new or expanded knowledge on each subject.
Students that participate will receive additional benefits along with instruction:
- Snacks and drinks provided every day.
- Camp T-shirt.
- GRCMC membership for 1 year.
We are so excited to promote our next student camp. Due to limited spots, we will be selecting students based off of experience and commitment to participation. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 26th. After the deadline for applications, we will reach out about those who have been selected for within the next week. We hope to expand our operations next summer to include even more students and varying levels of instruction.
